LPN Position Responsibilities:
- Assist clinicians with office exams and procedures
- Provides nursing care under the direction of the RN and/or clinicians
- Works collaboratively with all other staff to assist the patient and facilitate a successful interaction within the practice
- Rooming patients
- Injections and immunizations
- Ensures continuity of care
- Provides patient education regarding health conditions during appointments and by phone
- Document and triage all patient phone calls, lab, and diagnostic results in their electronic medical record (EMR). Consult with provider regarding any abnormal results for plan of care
- Other clinical duties as needed
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited LPN program
- Current NYS licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Demonstrated clinical competency
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Knowledge of diseases and treatment
- Ability to apply aseptic tech and sterilization
- Knowledge of practice management system, EMR and scheduling protocols
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of accuracy in performing responsibilities
- Exceptional service attitude and communication style
- Professional appearance and demeanor
